okay, now this will sound really dumb, but if my iSight needs 10.2.8 minimum how do i use it without shelling out for Panther to get iChat AV?

that's my shocked face. I'm on a g4 and can't even get the damn thing to stay on. about to see if it will work on my laptop :(

Got one the other day. Its supposed to swithch off. When you start up ichat - it will turn itself on again.

When you are in iChat try clicking on the little green video icon near your name...That should let you test it out...
