any ways to connect to a crappy frontpage webserver witout using frontpage?
the dreamweaver plugin did just support "basic" setting
(no server settings can be changed)

what is a frontpage server? there is apache on linux/unix and microsoft iis web server (and a few others...but no one uses them).
apache can support frontpage extensions. and iis servers of course do.
so, what exactly are you trying to do and what problems are you having?

the "webserver" just support connecting via frontpage, no ftp access
