I am looking to self-publish a novel, but need a decent typeface that is legible and classy/ic. Has anyone used Minion as a bodytext typeface, or can recommend a good one?

Yeah, I love Unger's stuff. V. classy indeed, although I don't know if I can compete with the Pope when it comes to audience figures, although I can walk to the shops without falling over.

thanks a million fellas. the book is called "The Sakura Satellites" and is about death and skateboarding in 1989 Japan, in case anyone's interested. Out in July, maybe

I'm interested. I spent two weeks in Japan in January and loved it. Really wanted to learn more about the history of youth subcultures there but that wasn't my girlfriend's family's thing. Did get to play Go with a national master though. Kicked my gaijin ass...

I lived there for a year and it's true that there's every sub-culture in the book over there, but I think the difference is the dedication to it. Here, if you're a punk, you maybe wear an Exploited t-shirt and do your hair at the weekends; there, you're a punk ALL the time. Except you still live with yr folks and are super-polite

haha - exactly! Super polite punks and rockers is just wrong.
