Hi all. I'm having difficulties with my fade in/fade out on this:
http://www.perspektiv.co.uk/imag…
Any ideas how to make the transition smoother? It looks shit at the moment.
Cheers

number two is weird
transitions are slow.
what is the framerate of your flashdoc?
- ORAZAL0
do it with a mask shape tween

Why don't you just put 1 pane of white over the object and have it alpha to 100 and 0 using a simple script.
- legspin0
Yeah a couple of them do weird things???
What simple copy would that be then? :D
- legspin0
not 'copy' script.

I don't think this is going to show up right
button.onRelease = function() {
if (white._visible = false) {
white._visible = true;
}
white.onEnterFrame = function() {
v_alpha = (0 - this._alpha)*.2;
this._alpha += v_alpha;
if (Math.abs(v_alpha)

I think yours will work too. I put mine back above yours. Just change the numbers in yours too smaller values and up your framerate to 30 or 31

It would be better to adjust the alpha of a movieclip over the photo than the photo itsself. I think less RAM intensive.
- legspin0
cheers bk. where do I add your code? Does it work along side mine?
- legspin0
bk...cheers for the info mate. I agree - but if all the photos were visible but you were changing the alpha of a movieclip instead, then how would it work? The images are under each other on different layers. If the top image had a movieclip which masked it then the other images under that layer would be masked too wouldn't they???

I just sent you the fla. It might be more complicated tahn you want. Gve it a look. I only did the first two.
