my partner loves metroid prime hunters: first hunt & super mario 64DS. He just bought Polarium, but I haven't tried it yet. Heard that in japan, DS is v. popular tho *well.. for girls especially* hihihi.. perhaps the chatting ability with the pen thingy that does wonder...

I played Wipeout Pure on a PSP last night, the machine is really nice. I'd personally go for the PSP.

OK here my 2 cents.
I've had one of every GameBoy since the original tan brick version. I love em...
Great for trains, waiting rooms, and generally passing the time.
The new DS is awesome. It has some great features that go to waste unless you have a buddy that has one also.
The Metro Prime Hunter demo that came with mine is a great show of what the DS is capable of graphically, albeit not my type of game.
I bought Super Mario DS and it rocks. I've been playing it here and there for almost a month now and have a while to go yet.
There aren’t that many games out there at the moment, but the DS lends itself to some great versatility with its voice recognition, dual screen and touch screen features.
I agree with most that the games a little kid like, but jeeze, if you playing with handheld that what your doing, being a kid.
Get one!

PSP - eBay from Hong Kong.
Games - eBay from US.Sorted.

5timuli, won't be able to watch movies/listen to albums on the UMD's though, they're region encoded. Most people won't bother buying movies on UMD anyhow though.
- 5timuli0
You don't need to watch/listen to them on UMD - I won't be buying any. You can watch movies and listen to music straight from the Memory Stick and the quality is amazing even from a 320x240px mp4.
- 5timuli0
And it's the games that count ;)

i'll second the psp comment:
