not sure if this is trillian only service...but when i ICQ my friends via trillian, we both setup "secure IM tunnel", which basically uses encryption on all our messages, so our IT can't see what we're talking about.
and not sure if that's what you are looking for.

oh yeah another thing..
my roommate works at ILM and due to extreme confidencial environment (a.k.a star wars), she can't IM much...except she found web-based ICQ the other day and since then she keeps IMing me.
so if there's firewall that's preventing you, ICQ on the web might be a way to go.

don't think they have a huge party upon completion - they have free screening and a small party right before the launch day. they sure have lots of weirdos following around close to release though.
it's kind of funny because many movies she works on, she has no idea how the script goes.
she thought van helsing was going to be a great movie when she worked on it, then later on got super disappointed with the script.
