in Poland you don't use passports inside the country. You use ID cards. As long as you have one you have Polish citizenship (in short and in most cases).According to still unchanged rules you also have to be registered in the place you live.
So you travel using US pass and use ID card for loans and stuff.

the rules arent always so simple that someone on NT can give you the right answer on what applies to you...
For example I have dual Australian/UK citizenship, but only allowed in my case because of where I was born and because it was before a certain date... there are all sorts of exceptions and cut-off dates as rules change over the years.
Carrying more than one passport is normal...I wouldnt get worried about airport officials.
