also, the nas video where him and puffy are getting crucified was nice.

that video that Xzibit did where he leave to go to the grocery store to get some milk or something, and it ends up being an adventure with cop cars wrecking and he rocks the mic on stage; it's just cool camera and editing work cuz it's pasted up like it's just one continuous stroll down the street for him.

and don't sweat it Jaline. I think dobs is right. If you were able to respect and experience rap's years when it began to emerge from it's underground dwellings and push further into the mainstream, then you'd probably have a little different view. I mean, just listening to the Rakim's and BDP's and PE's when they were making their impacts is nostalgic to me. I hate the state of rap right now, but like has been said in many other threads on this subject, there are still a handful of artists and records that show up and keep me in it. I'll be talking about Pac to my grand kids like my grandma talks to me about Elvis

my alma mater, notheastern, had their springfest concert featuring ludacris cancelled last year (my senior year) because of the riots after the superbowl. so they decided to go ahead with the concert this year, but ludacris was unavailable. so they got mos def instead and im a lot more happy with that selection because 'black on black' is one of the greatest rap recordings of the last ten years, but popular opinion is pissed over no ludacris. dont get me wrong, ludacris is cool, but he aint mos def. so hopefully ill get some sweet seats.

i find that quannum video surprisingly dull and lacking story/fun/plot/atmosphere or something that makes the video worthwhile...it's jsut fancy graphics trix..
but that's just my 2c.

on the other hand the ruben.fm video for format is a long time favorite of mine. i remember the first time it was psoted here 'ruben' came in to comment here. now that was neat.

the spike jonze directed pharcyde video for 'drop' where it was all filmed backwards was another entertaining one.
