thats not the actual video to the single. its just rehearsal footage with the song dubbed over it. the actual video has been shot and will be released in april.

oops, wrong thread

i cant help but notice he cant play the piano at all... lol
- ronaldo0
what makes you think that?
I think he was just playing the notes he needed/wanted
- scarabin0
the becoming is a hard song to translate acoustically
listen to the piano bits in a track like closer
trent says he actually comes up with the melodies for his tracks on a piano first, then creates sounds for it later
- usrper0
yea i guess i watch too much good pianists play, i shouldnt compare
- Xrtions0
dude, trent is a classically trained pianist.

for a while, i kept hearing that NIN broke up. Usually groups as complex as them have a hard time cooperating with one another (some many creative minds). Cant wait to get that new CD they've got.
- scarabin0
nin never broke up, but the tapeworm project did.
this was a side project he was working on with maynard of tool/apc, among others.
from what i've read it was an ego battle between trent and maynard, characterized by petty arguments over stupid shit
the album ended with what trent officially describes as "a sound i did not like" and was never released
one of the tapeworm tracks made it onto an apc album later.

thats good news, i never really liked the music (a little too dark and spooky) but they're artwork always caught my eye (especially the closer cover).

david carson himself did all the fragile-era stuff
