shoutcast on osx

  having trouble getting it to run on my machine and not getting too much help ont he tech support forum.
  everything appears to be set up properly. when I try loading the url on itunes, I get an error mesage saying the server is down.
  Im on a super tight deadline to get this thing up and running so any help would be deeply appreciated.

  i may be able to help you..

  i've noticed that sometimes when setting up servers / streams like this.. you can't access the stream from within your network and must be remote... i couldn't access my streams, but my friends could..

  maybe this is the case...

  check your e-mail and let me know if i can help..

  thanks for respodning
  it's not that I cant hear the stream, it's that the server is down. check it out - ( http://68.50.225.187:7777/ )
  in my logfile I get the error server unavailable, disconnecting

  btw, at the moment mail.com seems to be down, but I'll check for yr email ASAP
