wouldnt anyone who might be interested in this movie have already seen the first therefore the video?
wouldn't knowing all hell that broke loose in ring 1 keep anyone from seeing ring 2?

haha the japanese version was hella wierd. didn't really understand what was going on.

my god.. the first one was idiotic...
... what the hell does a video tape have to do w/some little girl in a well?... the video tape thing was so stupid... STUPID... at least connect things in the movie.

ummm I haven't seen the us version ... but the japanese version made sense. Except for the psychic character (the main characters ex husband - can't remember names) he didn't make any sense.

the original story makes sense, but yet the japanese one held back on giving away too much in the first one, which i think was good.
the second hollywood one just totally convoluted the story, trying to explain everything but was a trainwreck

I don't know if it'll be as good since you;ve seen the american version. But I loved the Japanese version when I first saw it. Genuinely freaked me out too. Granted I was hella stoned.
Also I've grown up watching subtitled movies so it doesn't bother me at all. I'm more likely to get pissed off by a bad dub rather than subtitles.

yes, im nagging at the holywood ring 2, but do get the jap version. make sure you get the actual sequel, cus there is "zero" or some shit which sucks.
i saw it long time ago, but i just remember some very cool scenes, i guess reading subtitles wasnt too bad cus of that.
