we have to a print a really big wall(2meters by 20metres).we can't do a normal procedure(blowing it up) because the viewers will be seeying it a distance from about 2metres)so we ave to make it at real size at 150 dpi.does anyone have experience with this?the file sizes are huge..do you need special equipment?use other computers as slaves, like in after effects?any help would be great.thanx

go with 72 dpi. most billboards are 72 dpi (as far as i know).
i might be wrong though.

how are you outputing it? speak to a printing and see what they say about your file.

I have always done that kind of work, tradeshow walls, billboards, in 150 dpi, but 1/4 of the actual size, and the printers use ripping software to blow it up to the actual size.

yeah, but blowing it up is not optionablke.it has to stay at same quality.
thnx for the advice tho, much appreciated

i have the same experience as luckypp 1/4 scale 150 dpi and the printer will do wonders...

I guess in that case I would slave a couple of computers together.

when i have done these kinds of jobs i have been told by the printer that as long as the file is no bigger than 300dpi, then the ripping equipment will sort the rest

another way, other than the way Lucky suggested...
we used to create the file smaller at 1200dpi, then have a transparency film made of the file, and then scan it as large as you need it... That way you are working on a smaller more managable file and then it's just a big ass scan that the printer has to deal with.

Yeah, that is a good idea, never even thought of that.
