Cool - that sounds quite positive... like, I could probably do it. I've been trawling through Brandchannel.com, trying to find agencies and Project Managers to contact for info, but most are US-based - you've all been really helpful.
One last thing... Has anyone discovered a directory or list of agencies that I could have a go at approaching, or can anyone recommend a recruitment agency that would deal with placing Project Managers? I'm in London.

Do creative agencies use PMs? If so how do they fit with the CD and AD or is that more of an IT position.
I've always worked in IT where we don't have ADs and CDs only PMs and designers/developers.

Oh no! Now I'm pretty confused!

creative agencies for sure use PMs

What's it like to be....
A project manager?
Imagine, if you will, a place where nobody laughs, nobody knows anything about what they are talking about, and barry manilow plays on a 24/7 rotation.
This, my friend, is the life of a project manager.

PM's pretty much use the phone all day. Boring and uncreative.

Have you ever taken acid and ran naked through a feild?
Well, it's the opposite of that.

Ever heard the phrase "Beating a dead horse"? Well. PM's do that ... and also check the dead horse's temperature rectally ever 30 minutes.

hahahah

OhMyGod! Went from not really knowing what it was, to kinda knowing what it was and sorta liking it, to feeling enthusiastic about being able to do it, to rectally checking a dead horse's temperature. That's quite a circle, eh?
