Think the graphic novel came out in the mid 90's by Frank Miller. Amazing how many comic books have moved onto the big screens. Pretty cool.

yeah, Frank Miller is incredible. really looking forward to this movie. Lets just hope it doesn't go the way of daredevil (another comic Frank Miller Rock sawed)

the idiots in hollywood are running out of ideas for movies, and in order to maintain their multi-million dollar business, they are turning to the comics - don't get me wrong, there have been some incredible adaptations (Spiderman, totally SICK)
but in their mad rush to 'make movies', stinking shit is bound to be created - Daredevil, Elektra, list goes on and on and...

the moment they fuck with wonderwoman or vampirella.... >:(
but sin city looks fucking cool
- blackspade0
lol @ Daredevil & Elektra

the last two matrix movies got by on looks alone... the storylines were fucking terrible and the dialogue borderline retarded.
sin city already has their looks beat, (i mean no one has ever even done this look before in a feature film) and i can almost guarantee the storyline will at least be _as good_ if not extremely better than the matrix movies. i've always liked miller, and it feels like he has his hands deeper in this film.
it's gonna rock.

Does anyone know who is actually directing this thing? Robert Rodreguez, Frank Miller and Quinten Tarentino are all listed as directors in the trailor.
- beagle0
i think all three of them are taking turns directing it.

Yeh, the trailer looks dope
- josimarX0
disappointing second trailer I thought. It's got some nice bits like the guy with the really flat white shades and Jessica Alba going for it but apart from that, wasnae as excited as I was after the first trailer came out. Still better than 'Hide & Seek' which Chossy made me go and see last night, jesus, he can really pick 'em.

Tarantino is only brought in for name value. Rodriguez and Miller did this all together, frame by frame. Rodriguez even left the firector's guild to make sure that Miller was listed as a director (the guils wouldn't allow Miller to be listed as a director).
I have a feeling that this is going to be great.

frank miller said this is the most direct translation from a comic book to movie. he says frame by frame it is nearly identical to the comic book.

Here's hoping.

sounds...cool

Can I just say that I love Robert Rodreguez? If you haven't already seen them, rent Once Upon a Time in Mexico and watch all the extra about Troublemake Studios and how he works...it's truely inspiring.
