i'd pay money to see him at his worst.

sure! that'd be swell. :)

soler, got that song. nice work.
I have heard that he has had bad shows before, but for the $15-20 bucks it is worth the gamble. I have heard that london crowds arent very hype at rap shows. everyone trying to act cool and shit, but maybe not.
salisae, email your address and I'll make a nice one.

not only that...the sound quality was terrible. I could barely hear what track he was doing.
it could have been the venue, but i saw craze there and the sound was perfect

I think that keith kinda rests on his laurels alot. if you arent a big fan, you might not get it. not saying you arent into it, but... you know.

Yeah.... he was lipsyncing and shit but I still dug the show....

everyone is still crazy about dr. octagon but honestly i think that's one of his worst, most boring albums. aside from the hilarious Autposy and Spazz references, i only like a couple of songs. Dr. Dooom is my favorite shit he ever did, although i like Matthew and his newer stuff because he's gotten so bitter and angry and it's pretty funny. diesel truckers is good stuff, good beats (which is his main weakness). Analog Brothers had its moments but overall was just OK...
anyway i guess what i'm trying to say is i think it's dumb how people are still jocking the ocatgon stuff when he's literally probably put out 10 albums since then that are worth checking out.

no doubt meter. his newer shit off the lost masters is dope. havent heard much of the newest shit, but, you either like keith or you dont.

... in SF (4 years ago) he immediately demanded that weed be passed up to him while threatening to leave otherwise.
3 songs later he was gone...

I will pass him a joint... I actually havent bought a Kool Keith album sinice Dr. Doom and Black Elvis. He kind of dissapeared to me until I saw ads for Diesel Truckers and (the long awaited) Matthew.
By the way your cadence is bad, your levels are off...

I stopped listening to him when ultramagnetic broke, yes, I'm old.

Diesel Truckers is great, IMHO it takes some skills to rhyme about something that's about as far removed from hip hop as driving a semi state to state.

I must agree though that he's an aquired taste. He continuously disses on mainstream hip hop, he's old school, came from when skills set you apart, not how flashy you were or how many records you sold. Critical Beatdown was a groundbreaking album when it came out, he's continued to be groundbreaking. Found this online:

Great great great show. Kool Keith is the man. Fatlip was great too as was Mr. Len....They were playing IDM in the other room and that was not mixing wel with the hihphop, so I took a roll and got into the dub just as Mr Len was starting. Those beats he was flowing to were on some next level shit. I wondered if it was El-P production. Everything was pretty average after Len until FatLips set started. Fatlip just got the crowd hyped up and it was so good, me and some friends started descretely smoking. Fatlip noticed thius cause he had no problems after the set coming up to me and hanging out for some trees during Kool Keith and Kurtmastas set. Great grteat show. Keith ripped about 8-10 songs, did all the classics, got the hos on stage, passed out porn and panties in a bag and gave me the best memories of a hiphop show maybe of all times...everybody was having a good time. I wish I had charged my camera.
