SO I have never really used it before but I got a bunch of certificates for my birthday which prompted me to try it out.
I like the idea...I think the interface and user experience is great...but...
To be honest I would rather go out and spend $12 on the cd. Then I have it to use when and however I want.
I think it's silly bollocks that you can't get all the packaging, and that there are all these rules regarding the mp3's you get.

I'd rather get the real cd, too, for the sleeves and lyrics. But there have been songs of bands where I only really like just one song and the rest is poop. I could probably clean out a third of my cds if I had been able to buy the one song i wanted.

thats very true mayo - thanks...I suppose for doing those cheesy 80's parties mixes it would come in rather useful!
thanks darlin

you can easily get rid of the security in the songs if that is your problem..
or just burn a cd
- mayo0
not a problem dear. And as for the 80s mixes, i'd buy those cds. iTunes would come in handy for those songs you don't want anyone to know you know AND LIKE. I don't know how many times i bought an embarrassing cd along with all the fixins to make it look like a gift, including a birthday card for my neice so that people wouldn't think it was mine. But that's just me. :\

convenience.
i miss CD's too. but the cases break. the little album art insert doesnt pull out right, it comes out diagonally and then tears. they stack up ontop of the stereo after some time, or get thrown in the back seat of car. and clutter up my desk.

iTunes has a lot of exclusive tracks, that is always nice.
I buy CD's too, but after a while you have to add to your house if you have a large collection.

I've got a fairly large cd collection, but I don't even own a CD player anymore.
I have been eyeing up this mid 90's harmon/kardon one for a while. But, alas, I'm broke.

i record the songs off of the radio with my tape recorder.

Rhapsody = 9.99 per month.this app is $50 and rips mp3's from rhapsody, and tags them automatically.

if I'm desperate to download, I just use soulseek.
