hmmm the lytehowse is the only one I think I even think about using.
How long have you been doing this clone? I've always wanted to make some fonts. I doubt I would have the patience though...I like results NOW!

i made my first font in 99, but as of late, i have two i'm working on. i have some incompletes that i throw together over a weekend and some i've had some incomplete for years.
all of those listed there are at least 2 years old usually done for specific uses.
porned and modic were both used by Epitaph Records for flyers/posters.

iDp"there are apps out there so you can just draw type on paper, scan it, and import it w/ metrics and everything and then just adjust the vectors in your font app...i forget the name of the one dlc uses but he told me he made a typeface in a total of 11 minutes

woah no shit! hmmm maybe I should check this 'fonting' thing out then. I'm positive I can kick Clones ass in the font dept. 11 minutes is probably the span of my patience. This means I could have 43.6 fonts in the next 8 hours!
:D

---------------------------the fonts justin and porned were made like that with photoshop, i just exported the pathes and imported them into fontlab
others i fine tune in other apps such as corel or illustrator then adjust the metrics with fontlab

MrDinky didn't over react in my opinion. Cloned is a copy cat.
He copied Tahoma and called it his own. Image below
http://www.mevsthem.com/public/b…and then wrote me this gay email below. regarding that image above. When i was showing my 1px experimental typeface.
"i think i beat you to what you're working on
Thank you,

i never claimed tahoma it as my own on my site it is referred to as a tahoma pixelation as are all the variations of prior made fonts such as the case fusion font was based on arial and damged past from impact.
the fonts i've made have been for specific print purposes. the only reason i sent him the pixelation font was because of its appearance similarity
also, my tcr font has a different node path and print output than tahoma so technically it is a unique font that bears resemblance to monitor output of size 9 to tahoma

yah...if you draw everything in the proper spots it will grab each character, upper and lowercase and put it where it needs to be in fontlab...hang on i'll ask what app it is and post later
