been here for about two years and i love it so far. sure, it gets hot in the summer but from september till march you've got pretty decent weather.
and i love the mountains. they're all around and the view is breathe taking.
its big enough to have most of what a big city has yet its not as crazy busy compared to other major cities.

Yeah, Phoenix is quite a trip..If you can tolerate 120 degree heat, hummingbirds, scorpions and lifted trucks, then you can enjoy the splendid scenery, cheap adundant food and clear blue skies.
You can drive from one side of the city to the other at full speed for an hour, theres a great zoo. Scottsdale can be fun for expensive drinking and arty food, you can shout at tweakers on the way home, and theres always a Del Taco when you need it.
Come and have fun :)

thanks for all the responses.
i won't be moving there until mid-may but I am looking for what areas might be nice to live in. i live in DC now.
I know that the summers can be toasty but I am willing to give it a try.
Anyway, thanks again for the input from everyone. See ya in Phoenix in a couple months...
