The menu is way to dark. Plus the line telling them to use the menu above to navigate seems kind of pointless. Maybe show some photos instead of that line to fill the space.

the menu isn't too dark for me, but i don't like the fact that it disappears until mouseover when looking at the products.

menu too dark, and then fades out?...youre not thinking about your target audience in terms of clarity, usability...it seems to be a photographers site, or a portfolio...you have a site that is super minimal and slick, but thats not gonna work for the ladies looking for face cream....

very nice, you could afford a little color, that would be nice, it is such a mood piece i would like nice rollover and click sounds to make it feel more alive (maybe nice chimes) and some light background muzik could make the site majikal... also, if you can speed up transitions that would ba a convienience...
