Hi all. I'm having trouble installing Creative Suite. Could it be having problems because I have XP? At work I'm using 2000 and it installs without a problem.
Cheers

do you have adequte disk space?
when does the problem begin?initilizing?
registration?you might want to check your hd for errors as well with scandisk and defragment it before you attempt another install so it can fully install without fragmenting install files which causes installation errors

SHould install fine on XP, do you have full admin rights?

i am running it on xp and works like a charm. except illustrator cs can't handle the over-5000 fonts i installed.
so in order to keep it from crashing, i turn off some font folders and then launch illustrator. crazy!

I'm installing the original copy. It goes through the installation but it doesn't install properly. When I go to programs I can see InDesign but when I try to open it, it doesn't work saying I have the wrong serial number, which I have. Going to my program files - photoshop folder etc are there but do not contain anything.
Someone has just built my machine for me so I'm not sure if its an error there. Just covering all options before I ask him to have a look at it.

i'm assuming that since it is a new build space is not a problem then?
the admin rights is a great question [make sure you have full rights]
restart,
use add/remove programs to remove any reg files the system has indexed
go to your program files and delete the corresponding folders
run scandisk to check for errors [hopefully none]
[if not] restart
try installing again
if unsuccessful
talk to your buddy

Anyone think this may help?

I had problems when I got CS which were due to a previous version of PS that was still in my computer somewhere. I had to complely remove that for CS to work.
Maybe that will help.

My CS is an upgrade. Both Photoshop6 and CS are originals.

Ok, I was using a full version. Sorry...
