I hate you so much james- I'm laughing my fuckin ass off right now...
so wrong to read, so right to laugh...

the reality is these people are so badly educated and so extremely low on IQ that they barely(!) could judge their own actions.
it's sick, and these people deserve to be punished..
but apparently the social/community workers got enough signs of this happening but did not alarm anyone about it.
and they SHOULD know better.
so the system of social control has failed in that particular suburb, known for it's extremely high level of unemployment etc.
- vburo0
well i do not think this is laughing matter.

Education has nothing to do with it. Moral values are not taught in school, nor do they have anything to do with poverty.
- Point50
I don't think anyone was laughing at the matter of what happened to those children.

What happens in Bangkok...
- james-0
no kiddin, happens to thousands of kids everywhere else, yet no cnn
- Point50
CNN has no interest in those stories. They won't make any money on real tragedies like that.
- digitalswarm0
I think CNN has some kind of interest, see link:

digitalswarm, go back to school
- Point50
wow. Where did that link come from?
I was referring to the prostitution of children in Asia and Thailand. And I also wasn't referring to a one day exposure on their site. I'm talking about continuing coverage. All our news is based on is celbrity chasing and the stats on a war none of wanted.
*begins shoveling piles of crap into politics thread

(Mar 3 05, 15:17)toastie, you misunderstood. the news i see here about it (as opposed to the US) is much more detailed, it appeared that these people are close to mentally challenged. A lot of them can't even read, some couldn't even understand what the judge tells them.
so my point is: this sort of people simply need supervision or awful shit like this happens.
same happened to a Dutch toddler recently, it was extremely victimixed under constant violence until the child died, the people were arrested, but the social workers supervising them were held as well for some serious questioning.
people like this may know about morals, but in most cases lack the IQ to control themselves or measure the level of morality in action.

"Prosecutors allege that children aged 6 months to 14 years old were raped by their parents or offered to other adults in exchange for small amounts of money or parcels of food, AP reported."
6 MONTHS??
WHERES JESUS?
- Point50
My mom was a nurse in pediatric ICU for over 30 years and I've heard some pretty horrendous stories come out of there. One of them was about a 2 month old that had been raped by her mother's boyfriend. Serious damage to that child's body. Very sad shit
