there was this guy in the states that sued the owners of a house that he burgled because he locked himself in a corridor between the garage and the house and had to survive 8 days on 12 cans of pepsi and some dog biscuits as they were away on holiday.. dude got some serious cash.. crazy.

that's already happened over here. Burglar had fallen down the stairs in a house he was stealin' from and sued the owners for his loss of work!
Local police said it was ok to put preventative means on flat. Apparently you can do anything as long as it's not over the top.
