for many of the sites i track, it's 40% safari, 30% firefox, and the rest IE... mostly pc/mac game studio sites though

The glasses are in the bin. Any drivers on the Expressway in Glasgow watch out around 6pm.

Ha...erk.
Sorry. I say these things, then realise their bitchiness in hindsight - massif'respec to you on your work, and indeed, your opinion in this thread.
I have little to do, so just sit here stirring. *sigh

Ooh, look - your pixellated avatar wears thick rimmed black spectacles.
Don't be so predictable.

You're a client.
- DonnieTV0
I meant our clients sites - so in other words ordinary people who use their sites.
But you're right - all clients are stupid. They've got good jobs with good companies - but they all got there by tricking everyone - because after all, they're idiots.
Don't be so predictable.

designers / devs often show their folios to mostly another designers /devs who actually are the only ones who know about something called firefox
its the truth believe
- BobaFetus0
Our clients show an average of about 0.5% of users using FireFox.

Clients don't count. They're stupid.
- DonnieTV0
Are you all talking about the stats from your sites (companies or personal) or stats from your clients sites?
If it's your and your companies sites it'll be biased towards designers preferences
- HRTWRK0
Ditto. Our crowd is older and not terribley web-saavy... and 23% of them are using Firefox.
- vwsung18t0
the audience for our sites are pretty old people and we're starting to see more and more firefox users.
- moth0
Make sure you guys aren't counting yourselves!
I believe it's quite high - but I think my own stats are tainted by my office...
- designerror0
i have 26% firefox on the sites i keep stats on
- mirola0
i'd believe it, even my clients who i've recommended it to are saying 'yo mike, explorer aint fit to shit on these days, bro!' then i say yes, indeed'
- Nairn0
who's 'officially'?
Personally, I'd be surprised if it isn't that high , what with all the free advertising they've had over the past year and the creeping realisation amongst the Common Man that there are viable alternatives to IE. I've been recommending everyone I know to use FF for ages - and in turn they do the same. I am only one man, and I know for a fact that there are about 100 computers now using FF at least partly because of me.
I'm not even that much of a vocal geek.

planet earth. the one you reside on.
- trooperbill0
20#% on what planet - thats a joke, officially its under 10% and even then i guess thats an exaggeration because i use ff and ie so its never going to be a true reflection.
