i don't get it. This Chuck Anderson guy does really nice work and gets scrutinized more than anyone on this site, but for what?
Not to say you shouldn't have an opinion about it but its like NT is negatively obsessed with NoPattern. He is doing a hell of a lot better work than most of us...and has a better client list as well.
i'll shut up now.
jondj24Word. I'm amazed how many people have negative things to say about Chuck's work. Check yourself and look in the mirror... you got better skills? doubt it.

it is not about being better or not. it's about profiling yourself. i am always making fun in these threads as a reference to past threads, in which Chuck sort of kept praising himself as being the new "...".
his work is nice. not over the top impressive to me personally, but that has nothing to do with my skills, but rather a personal preference.
i get sick of the "well your skills are weak so you shut up!" - mentality here, it's very immature.
i value the opinion of non-designers most, since they tend to perceive design as most of the people do, and that is our global audience.
nothing to do with 'skillz".

I've read most of them...Wouldn't you get sick of being scrutinized for everything you do if yer just trying to make a living?

hey i think chuck's work is great. i just think his old stuff is better. i mean some of that stuff is a couple years old and still looks super fresh.
i agree with ric that he's held under a microscope, but he's the one who put himself in that position. imo.

anybody, and i mean anybody, that comes around NT and takes themselves too seriously, or self-hypes in the PBS is going to get knocked down a few pegs. sad truth.
if Sagmeister himself showed in the PBS and said, "setting the new standard of design in ETA 4 hours, stay tuned"
it would be "i really wasn't that impressed, i think he's loosing his edge"
