Tomorrow. New Judas Priest album. Rob Halford ("Now - even more Gay - admittedly!") returns.
It will rock.Motley Crue reunion tour. Mostly Sold Out.
Economy is in recession.
Metal is ripe for a comeback, I mean more than in the large (successful) underground it's been dwelling in these last few years..
Can't wait to see the Motley Crue video of gangb*nging Paris Hilton "leak" onto the net...she can't handle the "Tommy"...

anxiously awaits new illi of the next maiden album

You're weird.

Mimo your mom likes it weird like me. Just ask her.
And wait...I thought just plain "weird" was a bare minimum requisite to even be looking at NT?
- Mimio0
I don't think I can regress back that far to childhood to respond directly to what you wrote Tick.

The new Priest album and Crue tour is intriguing but this is just plain ridiculous!

Cinderella, Ratt, Quiet Riot, and FireHouse will team up this summer for a hard rock smorgasbord.

Ratt, Quiet Riot, Cinderella? On Tour again. God, they were pathetic the first time around. I know I was there.
But man, some new metal out there burns: Shadows Fall, Lamb of God, Children of Bodom. Good stuff. And Black Label has got a new album coming out in a few days.
When I was in art school (1987) it was the metalheads vs. the punks vs. the weepy cure/new order fans. We kicked there ass.
We wore tight jeans and converse. Guess what's back. Tight jeans and converse.
Metal up your a**!

I'm with Kona...I don't really see why this is something to be excited about unless that's your thing.

Why this is important? Two reasons.
1) Metal is a style as much as a musical form. If you get visual cues form punk, or grunge or alternative or hip hop..whatever...I see lots of gothic typefaces about these days. Looks like all my metal album covers circa 1983. (Yngwie J. Malmsteen anyone)
2) Metal as a cultural phenomenon usually turns up during economic recessions. (Mid 80's...70's anyone? Hello? Bueller...) It's white boy frustration music. It's both a vent and a means of expression. Interesting that it's returning now - culturally it's about right.

I hear that tour isn't going that well. Reviews aren;'t the best, but crue fans will like it I'm sure.
I'm glad Metal's making it's comback. I was getting sick of the emo-thing. Even talk radio plays emo.

I thought white boys wanted to grow up to be black rappers these days.

..dusting off my "Shout at The Devil" vinyl...I think I got my asian fetish form the chicks in the "Too Young To Fall in Love" video...

Motley Crue isn't heavy Metal
- xaoscontrol0
oh dear lord...it's poking for dollars

Crue, not metal? I don't know. You can make that argument. But I think they're metal. They're real man rockers. Drunk driving, banging chicks, killing fellow rock stars in traffic accidents heroin/cocaine overdosing bad boys.
I mean what is metallica doin' today? Dropping 40 grand a month on therapists. Crus was metal at one time. Deal.
