where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
what will you bring to the company?
what are your strong points?
what are your weaknesses?
have answers for those questions
- imakedesign0
keep up to date on industry news, have an answer to:
what work do you find most inspirational?
dont be afraid to sell youself.

In an interview I was asked about the things I put on my CV, so if you like photography/architecture/art, who, what, etc!

$$$$$$£££££ questions
- ********0
say that your weakness is that you are too dedicated to your work to have a personal life
- 2cent0
i hope your interviewing skills are better than your spelling.

Go on the defensive, start asking them questions. Big wigs love hearing themselves talk about their company

be yourself, don't be pretentious.
Practice at home, let someone ask you the questions and asnwer it to them. Or tell yourself the answers infront of a mirror...it works, you'll be less nervous about it.
Know all the details of how you created a project and practice talkign about your work so you don't stumble and forget on the interview...
and good luck, you'll do fine... let us know how it went.

>where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
Don't say doing your wife, don't say doing your wife....
- blackspade0
i h8 those questions
farkin stoopid

First impressions Last.
Just exude confidence in yourself and what you are saying - in short - sell yourself.
Why should the company hire you over the other interviewees?
You need to make them believe in you - and you need to believe in yourself.
That is all you ever need to know about interviews.

going this coming week as well and i havn't gone in years, so my question is:
is there a difference between going to an interview where you contacted them vs. them contacting you.?
i'm going to them contacting me
- jevad0
how did they get in touch with you? througha referral or what?
- ********0
the old school mouth to mouth way actually, the AD heard about me and asked to come in and have a talk.
- fishbelly0
yes. ok.
designerror,
if they contacted you. it means they might need you. that's all.
it's just an f'ing interview. KICK ASS!
- jevad0
well thats good - it means there is already an established (to a point) relationship. That they have asked you in rather than you contacting them, should relax you somewhat going in...but you will still have to sell yourself and present yoursel in a professional manner

yeah, it does make it a little easier that way.
my dad gave me 2 shots of fernet branca when i had to go to my very first interview.
"it will soften you up a bit and it's the only booze they can't smell in your breath"
and i got the job back then so
maybe i should play it safe and down a couple ..

Ha, awesome Designerror.
My dad just told me he would beat me up if I didn't get the job.
Just kidding. He did that anyways.
