Please can someone help me with a simple piece of Lingo.
I'm trying to put a frame holder on which stops the dircetor timeline from playing until a quicktime movie has reached its end. I have written this..
on exitFrame me
if sprite(104).movieTime < 624 then go to the frame
else
go to frame + 1
end ifend
But all that happens is that it goes to the frame, even though the movie has reached the time of 624.
What have I done wrong?
Someone help me PLEASE!?

It's been about a year since I've done any Lingo, but I'll bite. Are you sure 104 is the movie in question?
Named sprites are way better, if only for this reason.

Yup I'm sure, even tried using a 'global' statment. No joy!?

Perhaps the movie doesn't have time to initiate before the if-else conditional is run?

if sprite(7).movieTime = sprite(7).member.duration then...
- imakedesign0

on exitFrame me
if sprite(104).movieTime = sprite(104).member.duration then
go to frame + 1
end if

I tried it...
on exitFrame me
if sprite(gQTchannel).movieTime < 642 then go to the frame
else
if sprite(gQTchannel).movieTime = sprite(gQTchannel).member.durati... then go to frame + 1
end if
endBut doesn't seem to work? I'll try and make a fresh director movie and see if I can get things to happen. thanks for all your help :)

try using sprite number
you need to make sure your fomatting is right, this might be the way NT displays it tho.
- imakedesign0
do you not need a =
if sprite(gQTchannel).movieTime = < 642 then

Dude Thanks for all your help but think I'm going have a few beers an unwind. I'll start fresh in the morning.
If I'm still stuck after some more trying can I quiz you some time tomorrow?
