******um... why are you dividing 25 by 3 ways?... don't even bother w/that because it was 30 dollars divided 3 ways... so they each paid 10.
The manager figured it out after they left... and gave 5 to ernie the doorman...
who kept 2 for him.
that means he gave them back 3 of the 5.
so: 30paid - 5back = 25 + 3back (one for each guy) = 28.
there's 2 dollars left - which teh bellhop took for himself.

So the guys now each paid $9 dollars for the room for a total of $27. MINUS the $2 that the bellhop keeps and that’s a total of $25. Which is what the hotel manager gets!duh!
