reputable SF printers?

  hi there. this is my first real design gig--it's a biz card.

  i need ~1,000 each of 5 designs, 2 color front, 1 color back. i know so little about printing, i don't want to get ripped off/get a bad batch.

  i'd like to use spot color (i think?) instead of cmyk, and i want matte, and i want pretty heavy stock.

  anyway, does anyone recommend a good print shop? say the word, and i'll check it out.

  ps. is there a book, specific class i could resource for production know-how? i know i can learn on the job, but trial-and-error doesn't really appeal to me... thx...
