ie5 mac is not terribly close to anything! To paraphrase browser guru Peter-Paul Koch, IE5 Mac is a "bug ridden crash prone piece of junk"

Microsoft has officially quit development of this browser. Safari kicks its ass and they whined... then killed it.

i look at ie5 this way,
the default start page is msn.com, and it doesnt render properly with ie5... so if msn doesn't care, i dont care
i feel the same way about opera v6, their current homepage (opera.com) doesnt render, so i don't get too upset when and element doesnt behave properly in it.
however... depends on what the client needs, if they're a big organization that needs to work for everyone, i would make sure it works well in the worst of browsers.

i am doing a site for a grpahic designer running OS9...so I have to make HIS site work in IE5mac, cause that's what he uses.
And I did that crap in CSS, so eat it!

^said eat it comment was purely for laughs, not directed toward anyone...
so...
eat it!

myobie:
Did you use css for positioning? Can I see the said site?
- myobie0
http://www.mountaineerproducts.c…
First, positioned the columns, then
Used the backslash hack to hide the floating code for the columns from IE5Mac
So,
1. position code
2. floating code (hidden from IE5Mac)Look at the css, you'll see

Nice... I always wondered what that backslash stuff was about. I like your naming conventions:
#bigdude {
margin: 0 auto;...
