OK... so this has nothing to do with anything....
But I'm sitting here listening to songs on my ipod while I'm doing work and I'm constantly switching between EQ levels for different types of music.
It's too bad you couldn't set up your EQ settings to automatically change depending on what music genre is playing.
Or maybe this is already possible and somebody can let me in on the secret.

I guess if my speakers didn't suck so much I wouldn't have to switch... but I just had this super bassy hip hop song come on and I thought my speaker were going to catch fire.

seems possible, having a specific levels setting for each mp3, would just be a matter of itunes keeping track of the settings and track info...

you can set a equalizer preset for each track. then when a song starts it adjusts the equalizer.

I was thinking more general than that. I organize all my songs by Genre... I've got them split up into like 6 genres (I dislike saying that word) So I was thinking of somehow programming preset EQ levels for each of the 6 categories.

it might just be the difference in quality of your mp3's... I dont really have that problem cuz I imported most of mine or bought em off itunes.
just a thought.

I'm too slow for NT apparently. That's cool about eq levels for each track.. .I wonder if that info translates over to an iPod

You can do it manually now, just select all the tracks in a genre and change the EQ preset.
But in terms of automatically doing it every time you import/download from now on... i'm not sure.

Will that info be downloaded to the ipod when I move the tracks over.
