This guy was actually trying to find a specific style of drum n bass, wich is not as popular as the dark stuff.
For dark drum n bass you can go to any drum n bass club.
Another thing on the same style you are looking for is Marcus Intalex..

High Contrast just remixes al the old school happy hardcore stuff anyways and makes it more up to date so it will be hard to find similar stuff

High Contrast Happy hardcore?
hmm, we have a tottally different view of what happy hardcore is here in america.
Liquid funk comes from a mix between house and jungle. It has elements of funk, and disco too.
Its fast but at the same time mellow.

didnt mean it was happy hardcore. i meant he takes elements of old happy hardcore tunes from way back and mixes them into a more modern style.
I dont like his stuff but i've only heard his essential mix.

I have a lot of his stuff, and I actually had the chance to work with him, what you heard is porbably very VERY old stuff, I actually never heard it, what year was that essetial mix?I agree happy hardcore sucks

actually you will find a lot of elements of house music in dnb. from different artist not just Hcontrast.
Jazz step, and atmospheric also have elements of it.
