so my brother and his wife are going to be on this tv show were a student comes in and does some interior design work...their "final" exam. Kinda like trading spaces, but its a student doing all the work.
anyone ever see this show? wanna know what he's in for...

how did they go about getting on the show?
do they have to pay for the work or does the show? i've always wondered that.
i've seen the show a few times. some good some bad.

they got on beacuse a freind got them on. its all free, so that can be a good thing, or a bad thing.
could be bad if the producer says "its free, you'll get what ever and if you dont like it, too bad, you didnt pay for it."
dunno if id do it though

Lets just say that you'll never know what the final results will be. They are so limited on time and sometimes, things do always go as planned. I don't know about the quality of the work, bc the ones I saw had helping hands from their classmates, friends & family and stuff...and the professionals were called in for the more detailed labor stuff. But hell, you get your moneys worth. Just hope their up for some change and surprises. And I hope it aint a fancy house to begin with.

yeah, i saw this show, but only once.
in the one i saw, the girl did a pretty decent job, created some extra space and in the end the room was fresher and more chic. although anything would have been better than what they had before...

I think I've seen this show too.
I didn't like the guy that was on that episode though, he was not in touch with the customer.

hahah brozilla!! My wife and I were gonna be on that but apparently our house was too big and we already had 'too much interior design going on'.
lmao

Jevad would be half-drunk during the taping. haha
- jevad0
...following the student around saying 'cock' a lot and calling everything he or she did 'shite' or 'total bollocks'...
could have been fun
- mrdobolina0
saying 'fuck off!' repeatedly.

apparently they are not allowed in the house for 3 weeks while the process happens. They were allowed to pick three family members to help out with the labor.
talk about a night mare. no way
gets me thinking though, would a major design firm allow a graphic arts student or media arts student design for a good client? all for the sake of publicity. may make for a good competition. there are some dam talanted students out there....
