I use it all the time cross canada, works great with a headset. I also like the built in IM for mac cuz I can send files to P.C's

mrdobolina, it's free. The other user has to have the software opn their computer aswell. You can use SkypeOut which lets you call a regular phone for like 3 cents a minute CAD I think.

its totally free between skype users, if you want to call to a ordinary land-line or mobile phone, you have to pay, but its not much

it does client to regular phone, thats the thing. in money terms, apparently it works out to like an hour of pc/mac/linux to regular phone for like $1.20, it's super cheap. great deal, how is call quality, is there a delay etc.?

If both users are on broad band, its ok
Usually no delay but has happned to me.
I chat is way better because you can do video too.
but my parents dont use pc, and AIM isntalls 34 aol hidden applications so they dont want to install it

I used to use iChat for voice, but Skype sounds better on OS X.
But I still use iChat for video.

skype is reall good, i used to use it but like only one other friend of mine used it. really good sound quality tho. it never really caught on for me and my buddies.
