I am new to starting a business and so I am unfamiliar with a lot of the aspects of starting one up... so, i just wanted to share this resource I just found for those who need it...

id recommend taking a business class at a university. or reading a class' textbook.

if you live in the states, visit your local small business development center.
they can help you with a ton of things like licensing, taxes, start-up cash, etc.

and get a lawyer. he can prepare you many documents for setting a company up. S-corp, C-corp, limited liability....
also if you are forming a partnership, make sure to have all agreements in written documents and signed. all business contracts to be documented! how often do we hear people complaining about clients not paying.
i don't know how many years of experience you have in the business, but if you've seen how agencies operate and manage, that's a plus. running a successfull business is never easy.
