Is there any plug-in out there that lets you display your music by album cover in iTunes?

no there is not. I have alwasy said this was a great feature missing. Like a "Browse by Album Art"- I have over 12,000 mp3's and in the main library iI dont need to always see EVERY song title- it would be great the browse all the albums instead.

You can't browse by album art but you can have an album art preview in iTunes, it appears as a pane within the playlists pane.

I think Clutter for mac is kind of what you are talikng about.
they say: "Clutter is a small Mac OS X application that lets you put music CDs on your desktop."
http://www.sprote.com/clutter/
hope that helps

surely it wouldnt be to-oo much to ask to sort by album art playlists
that would be great, ..take a bit of organising, but would be sweet

I tried out AlbumPlayer and although it is basically what I want, I would never use it. It lacks all the other features I like to have in a MP3 player. I don't want to have 2 separate music catalogues.
Also they get the album art for you so you don't have control over that.

oh true
sounds STINK.
any opensource mac sites where you can post ideas for shit like this and get some geek to hook it up ?? ;)
- crkaintaiwan0
Album player is PC only. It can download the album art for you. But you can also just use the album art that is in your folder.
What other settings do you need?

does iTunes have a suggestions feedback thru apple i wonder?
gimme that friggin update!

I made suggestions to a developer in the past-
1. browse by album art
2. Folder for playlists (nothing like having to scan through 45 playlist- why not folders to organize them)
3. E.Q. built into window (maybe were the title is displayed) instead of some stupid pop up window.
4. CD icon ... letting the user know when you have a playlist with a full CD. Nothing like going to burn a CD then finding out you have 20 songs too many. Why not a menu option "Create new CD" with a icon in the playlist window that gets full as you dropped tunes in it....duh?
5. LABELS - we can use labels for all other OS X files except in the app where you have thousands of them... stupid.
6. Better printing... the album printing in itunes is embarassing.

I love itunes- it is easier and better than most but it can use a bit more.
