Hi guys I am doing a job for a cleint of mine...1 part of the job is designing a simple brochure which I have done in indesign and the other I did in illustrator....when i printed them out on my inkjet I noticed huge colour differences and I am using same tiffs etc...is there away to get it the same...bit worried that the colour is gonna be different when I take it to press and the cleint wants to see proofs that have the same colour....I fiddled with the colours prefs but it doesn't seem to do anything...please don't tell me I have to redesign everyting in indesign?

you'll need to go into the colour settings for both apps and make sure they are set to the same. also, make sure all the files have the same colour profile applied to them.
make sure you choose: "assign profile" rather than "convert to profile" which will make sure tha the original artwork is unaltered.

also make sure the images are cmyk some apps do that auto while others do not

yeah illustrator by default has the Color Settings [shift+ctrl+k] set to Emulate AI v6.. set it to Color Management Off, and you may notice everything goes a bit lighter/faded .. thats all i know about that.
