The website i work for wants to start having its own online radio show, the types that stream on itunes. Is there a specific program or does anyone know what program that is to get that to work?
Thanks

realize, though if you're in the states and you play music you're subject to licensing. which can be very expensive.
it is the law, and the music industry and fcc enforce it heavily.

although our situation doesn't scale down to yours, here is an example of our overhead.
we have 7 terrestrial radio stations. 7 web streams. we spend over 100K in licensing a year, and ~$1000 for the stream provider service. we move ~1-3 tb of data every month.
so, as a single station entity, you are possibly looking at around 5K+ in licensing to the big 3 firms. and a few extra gig of transfer each month. depending on listenership.
hope it helps.

that's ~$1000 a month for the stream provider.
you won't have that cost running your own hardware, but keep in mind also that a stream provider has bandwidth throttling hardware in place to balance the load on the servers and pipe.
