I made lower 1/3s, titles, logos, and some other animations in after effects that need to get used over live footage by the editor of the tv show, on avid.
How do I export the alpga channel so that he can see only de animated elements and place them on top of video?
thanks in advance

when you make your movie, you go under lossless settings "format options" i use PNG compressor..check millions of colors plus, then under that menu go to "options" click interlaced and make sure video is on best.
then render it should become an alpha.
- tuig0
make sure the the field render is on.upper field first

i usually would go with targa compressor million color +
best quality

million+
under color depth, if they're using a chyron you should find out how to export your movie

Ok,
because its for broadcast, I rather not use any compressor. So cmpression has to be NONE.
I thought it had something to do with export RGB channels = Alpha, more than fields, or compression formats.Anyone else knows?
Thanks in advance

what version are you using?
i can supply with a 6.0 pro manual if needed
- chossy0
depends on how complicated the thing is, on output settings click on alpha only render this out then fire off the movie using the same codec that the avid uses, depending on the avid in use new vista or some such is the codec to use.
- chossy0
better to do it the other way round if you ask me. You know sort the cut out then fire into graphics and sort the other stuff out.
- chossy0
a thank you would be courtesy I am sure you have it in you.
