Oooo *embarrassed* i once sent back some ram coz it did nut fit the g5 Pity i was sticking it in the PCI slot . .
- iDp0
haha thats what kills me about Mac guys...you guys have no clue where shit goes. I'm now a converted mac guy but I used to build PC's.

defense wise - the fecking ram slot was buried under all manner of heat sync :)
Ok im lame.

haha thanks for the help guys, i had it all setup right i guess.. cuz i just opened it up and pulled them out and put them back in and now everythings working..
wierd tho i can't really see a difference in performance, and there should be a noticeable difference going from 512 to 1.5 gigs... hmm
- airey0
you'll notice a big difference in apps like photoshop which relies more heavily on RAM than the processor. try working on some big photoshop file you'd already done and see. saying that it's not going to make an incredible difference but you'll be able to open more stuff and more fonts at startup.

open up 3 big programs.. like photoshop, illustrator, Flash.. and then see how it runs. working on 3 projects at once.
- handsomeboy0
yea i notice somewhat of a difference.. hmm i think im not taking advantage of all the juice.. how much % do you guys alot in your caches for say photoshop and after effects?..

os x does it automatically.
- kld0
OsX alocates it automatically, I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong, please!
