Appealing college absences

i've missed too many days in my flash class...so i'm going to appeal my absences. Honestly, it's an 8am class and i never make it through traffic in time.
anybody go any tips?

to easy just go in there with some really lame excuse like i'm just busy and I can't make it to a 8 o'clock class all the time. It's odds on that the person your talking to will seize the oppurtunity to start telling you that's not good enough etc etc let them prattle on a little bit then hit them with some (believable) story about how your supporting your family and have to work 30 hours a week and drop the kids at school because your dad/mum is recovering from some illness and how your just trying to do your best etc etc

have you missed out on stuff that you couldn't have learned on your own? Or would it have been a waste of time for you anyway?
When I was in art school, I learned that professors always let you make up the work. Especially if you're obviously talented and you do good work. Who cares if you miss too many classes -- if you hand in all your work and are consistent with it, they'll let it go.

It was like that at my college, 10 to 1 odds of getting in, and then by the second year (if that) people didn't turn up.

thats cos im "working" from nine am (ok, 9.30ish) till lunchtime and dont come onto newstoday till then. and you wont see any posts after lunch till the next days lunchtime unless i get bored in the afternoon ya hoooor
