I have two Evolution keyboards, both great, good if you like knobs too.
- blackspade0
k thanks guys
any others?
- Meeklo0
I recommend Edirol and evolution over the M-Audio ones. on the quality side.
but it all depends, what are you going to use it for?
Are you going to need a lot of knobs and faders too?Audio interfase?
Will you take it on the road or just for your room?
- blackspade0
thanks meeklo, ill check those out
dont really need lots of knobs
it would be mainly in my room, but id like to be able to transport it easily i f need be

- blackspade0
meeklo,
what particular Edirol and evolution keyboards do u use ?
- Meeklo0
I own a edirol pcr-30
and I love it, its light, and has a lot of knowbs and faders, its cheap also..I used an evolution one and a m-audio, but I wasn't a fan of the m-audio for some reason, I think is the chepaest though.
I was also interested in this one that came out from korg
http://www.kellyindustries.com/k…
it also has pads, and the same number of knobs and faders than the evolution/edirol ones.
looks nice

u the man
thanks for the comments
getting ready to purchase one + logic
oooo the excitement. ;)
- blackspade0
that Korg one looks tough
like the pads also
- Meeklo0
Let me know about logic, Im thinking to get it myself..
I been using cubase and beofre that digital performer, but I like to know about some of the logic features like freeze track, that makes an audio clip from a vst instrument without rendering a new track, then you can undo it if you want to re edit the instrument, is this possible in cubase?
- Meeklo0
Another one I would get over the M-Audio..
http://www.dolphinmusic.co.uk/d2…
It also has a x/y touch pad controller..
- blackspade0
yea I think the pads are a must
that Korg one is quite Steep, but looks good quality.
Thanks Meeklo !!
oh' ..i've never used cubase
- blackspade0
I want basically, activate single .wav/.aiff samples, via Midi
using it like a drum machine/ MPC
would the pads be best for this, or just the Keys on the keyboard itself ??
- hotreport0
Im not sure what it is, but i want it myself
- Meeklo0
I like the MPC feel for writing rithms, its very easy and fun, but I guess you can do it with the keyboard too..
