No. I know how to make a textfield, cmon dude. I'm trying to create something so when the user types in for example 'flash' all they can see on screen is '*****'
You get me?

create input field
give it a name like: pass_txton the frame use:
pass_txt.password=true;

thanks AMFA. I tried this and it doesn't seem to be working. I thought it may be because I set focus for the previous text field but I have tried every option and nothing works...

i have made what you are looking for a while back, let me look for it and i'll get back to you
- silencer0
that would be amazin, it really sucks when the small things don't work...

how are you setting the name of the next field?
You have to use and instance name not a var name...
Also the command needs to be on a frame in the same level as the textfield.... or you have to make sure your path is right...

hehe I knew it would be something amazingly obvious, I'm so tired my brain is shutting down. Thanks for bearing with me AMFA, I like your website by the way, great flash.
