whatever.....
i've got a 30 gig Creative ZEN Xtra that i bought a year ago for around $180 on ebay..
hasn't done me wrong yet.. and reviewed as having better sound quality than ipod..
also... the buttons are on the sides.. so THAT'S RIGHT... you don't have to pull it outta your pocket to do anything with the tracks or volume.. cause you'll know what button you are pushing..

for the last time.. its not just about the hardware.. its about the software...
all the software that comes with all that other crap.. is crap
and the ipod.. is just great all around.. I guess youll have to learn the hardway

I just returned the green colored Creative Micro Zen - http://www.creative.com/products… -- because the color I saw online (and in print) is different from how it actually is. The green version is actually darker and opaque (not iridescent-like), so I was disappointed. Once they reimburse me, I might reorder the white or silver model.

Samsung has some new ones that could be worth a look. Pretty solid reviews at CES.

Donvitoviti speaks the truth! It's all about the software yaheard! The hardware will be in your pocket 99% of the time...
Good software and good headphones is where its at.

i drop my cell at least once a month cause i'm slick like that.
being a hard drive with moving parts i wonder how nuch of that the iPod would be able to take.
