Krumping ?? Why do people love it ?
The only clowns that work are the ones on the thrift store paintings.

Not that I'm a big fan of any dance craze, but there's a new documentary out called RIZE filmed by David LaChapelle and co-produced by two dancers, Tone & Richmond. It's supposed to be pretty damn good and got picked up by Lion's Gate for distribution. I'm gonna have to see it, becuase I've heard a lot of underground hype about it. Other than that, I'm pretty quick to change the chanell when a Missy Elliot video comes on.

I don't care much for dance in general, but I knew about it before the movie. Maybe the movie is great and hey... It's great if the kids love it, but the make up has to go.
More info on the movie:

what a complete waste of phaucking time.
LaChapelle says. “But it’s not as commercial-friendly as break-dancing. You won’t see it in a Burger King commercial. It’s ferocious, darker."
HAHAH. His next project ---
A clown dancing pizza hut delivery guy commercial.

ferocious and dark, eh? I usually look at it and think "good lord did they speed the tape up or is that girl really moving that fast?"

The two guys in RIZE have a pretty unique style from what I hear. They're Samoan so they mix all their old school street dancing skills with krumping and traditional Samoan dance. Even the paint on their faces has a poly flair to it.
and I thought Missy videos were cool when they first came out, but then her style just ended up getting recycled again and again for all of her videos. Hence, channel change. But hey, that's my opinion.
I'm going to go see RIZE mostly because I'm really close friends with a guy who met them years ago when they first hit the hip-hop dance circuit and now they have finally broke out. It's a success story from the ground up.

I think we'll look back at this fad in a couple of years and ask ourselves, what we were thinking ?

That's kind of like everything. Like pegging my jeans and wearing slip-on Vans with no socks in 7th grade. HAHAHAHAHA!... so sad
