funky promotional material

ok I started a postcard thread...but I didnt get anything back... now...I thought....maybe since I only have to do like 150-200 of these little promotional pieces...
has anyone done anything funkier...like just quick handmade promotional items...I want something to stand out more then a postcard...
maybe I can do something funkier.... I could print out 8.5x11s and cut them down to strips and put them in a little cover or something....on gloss...

I haven't done any for ages, and i'm a bit embarassed of my older work.
I'm trying to put some stuff together now, hopefully to submit it to the designforasia deal.
no doubt i'll ask for a crit on NT when the time comes.

i've been doing badges and temporary tattoos lately. they're great for festivals and raves where you can't rely on your audience being able to hold objects in their hands.
i got an invite to an art gallery opening that made itself origami-style into a little box, so i've been thinking about that lately. do a packaging design and just don't fold it.
