what you you search for to find a commercial printer - would you use product terms (brochure etc) or industry terms (litho etc)?

what BonSeff said. The terms don't matter so much -- I just want to know that the rep knows what he's talking about when he says, "I know what you're talking about."

Any printer that has nothing to hide is good, meaning they should be on point. Give you a proof first, allow you to do press check, and have on time delivery.
They should also know your first name. Also keep your privacy if you are designing/printing for clients.

Sheet size = bigger is better (more pages to view therfore more economical)
Colours = 5 or more colour presses also make for more economical print when using special inks or just a bog standard sealing varnish
