dob - do you really believe that he's proposing these cuts to take money away from poor people?
- Mimio0
Well...maybe you could have a little blind-folded neo-con girl devouring the Donkey's heart?

"dob - do you really believe that he's proposing these cuts to take money away from poor people? "
No, I dont honestly think he deliberately wants to hurt poor people, if that is what you are looking for. It just shows that they dont care.
- blaw0
quite obviously the poorest americans are expected to shoulder the brunt of the newest budget.
so obvious, in fact, that you couldn't get a comment out of a single republican regarding the matter, except for Judd Gregg and that's because he's the freakin' committee chairman and had to say something.

Can't there be a shirt with the elephant and the ass embracing, set against the backdrop of a big luvy duvy heart?

My favorite part of these threads is when the shit-slinger (pancakeweb) tries to salvage everything by:
a) playing the victim.
b) disguising it as legitimate discussion.

I have ideed heard of a double meaning pancake, but that t-shirt was bait. And you fell for it hook line and sinker.
" Slumber Inc. is meant to be a contradiction. It utilizes the very elements it is meant to oppose. The entity itself is merely a fabrication. Whatever "Slumber Inc." says, the opposite is what is truly being asserted. Slumber Inc."
Either that or you were deliberatly looking for a fight.

the repubs are giving 'tax holidays' to corporations to the tune of almost a trillion dollars, while people are left to their own devices.
The president makes no mention of Iraq in his budget. How is that honest? We had a huge surplus in social security until he squandered it on Iraq. That is the reason why SS is going to be in trouble.
Someone please justify it.
Id rather talk about real politics than sitting aroundcalling people hypocrits because they dont see my POV.
- pancakeweb0
dob/blaw -- ridculous. bush has already eliminated taxes for many poor people by moving changing the tax brackets in his first cut. now he's proposing to restructure the brackets so the rich pay an even higher percentage.
you guys just think that once money is allocated it should never under any circumstances be re-examined to see if it's having the positive affect that was intended. government waste is not equal to the government taking care of people.
anytime you take money away from someone (that's not even theirs) you become a bad guy.
- pancakeweb0
warland - fair enough. so they piss on me. i piss on you.

I am going to say this one more time, DO NOT TELL ME WHAT I THINK.
What positive effect has the 'corporate tax holidays' had?
Medicaid is a bad program?

dobs, check it: http://www.drudgereportarchives.…
who will be bearing the brunt of the new budget i ask?
- pancakeweb0
dob - you said it yourself, i was merely stating it in a less 'bleeding heart' manner.
corporate 'tax holidays' allow the company to keep more money which, in turn allows people to keep their jobs.
let me guess -- executives just shove it down their huge pockets, right?
- gruntt0
so. i haven't paid much attention to this thread in a while.
have we determined whose dick is bigger yet?
