Much respected NT public, I'd appreciate a brief crit, or tell me which one's the best:

BTW, it's for a business enterprise that my boss wants to start, renting Hummers out to private clients for mobile advertising, NOT for pleasure purposes, but that could soon change.

I don't like any of them, sorry.
I think the top row aren't very clear and the bottom row look like a power tool company.
I don't think the hummer works very well in sillhoette, it's not clear enough, looks a bit like an insect.
The mountain range looks like it should be a climbing company.
Maybe use the hummer in a simplistic profile so it's clear what it is.

I'd stay away from the car illustrations, as they are too complex to be easily recognized.
Perhaps stay away from any kind of symbol, but play some more with typographic directions and ideas.
Anisette Black is a good option: http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/fon…
and perhaps somerthing more along the lines of
(simpler, stronger)

so people can rent a hummer with ads on it and because there are ads on it it's cheaper? and you need to focus on people for renting as well as companies for the ads?
- fifty500
no, business owners would rent the Hummer and place their own advertisements on it. I dunno, it's not MY idea :P
- rabattski0
and what's in it for those who rent it? lower rates?

Well the apple reseller store that my boss also owns has a Hummer with iPod ads all over it and wherever he goes, people are always staring at it. It's as if people here have never seen a Hummer before. So if a company's having some sort of event, they could rent the hummer for a day or two and just park it there with their name or logo on it.
like i said, not my idea. i don't know if it's gonna do well or not...

aaaaah ok. now i get it! ok than all those logos don't work for me because they look like a regular rent-a-car logo. you need to focus on the fact that you can use it for promotion etc.

The first HR reminds me of Tag Heuer – too much.
The other type's ok, if a little dull and dated looking stylewise.
Maybe try and side-on silhouette of the vehicle as the angle you've got it at looks a bit fussy. I kind of like the little mountains so maybe do a nice simple side on graphic of the car and sit it next to a simmilar sized mountain graphic?
maybes.

I like.. I agree that the hummer outline is hard to distinguish
like the first row... #4... the 5 does look mountain climbyNot an "advertising on a hummer" look though, it gives me the rent a hummer and look cool, pimpin' wit yo hos you jackass wit too much money and a small dic look. woo... that sounded nasty. Seirously though, it has a classy, luxury rental look, and I'm not sure that putting advertising on a hummer is "classy"
good start ... what if you made the hummer bigger and wrote rent on the side of it.. like an advert?

I have to say that I like the hummer silhouette; #3 is my favortie. I think people are just stuck on what the H2 looks like as opposed to the 1st gen.

i don't agree with above critics : a car illustration is very powerful in this specific case as the Hummer image is very strong : u"'re not renting Micras as far a i know.. so
nice job
