Discuss please...
Can anyone tell me why there seems to be so much aggro around these days? All over the world, people would rather get in a fight than try to get on with everyone. From Iraq to people on the street it seems to be an ever present phenomena. Even on this site it seems to get worse. The worst part is, I think it all rubs off on people and it's a vicious circle.

I think if you look at the media around the world you seem to have everything owned by Murdoch being right wing and religious and eveyone else either neutral or liberal and secular. Never before has the media been so clearly defined by 2 belief systems.
People are hugly affected by the media. Thats my thinking anyway. People are being played off against each other.
Immigrants vs Us
Democrats vs Republicans
Religiousness vs atheism
muslims vs christians
west vs eastYou name it polarisation of oppinion due to media influence is happening everywhere, and I for one am pretty worried about it.

kezza, sorry but all the hatred i see/hear lately has been from ilberals. "f--k bush!" "bush is a f-ing moron!" "f-ing conservative pigs!" "you voted for george bush? you're a f-ing idiot."
there's a lot of hate coming from the peace and love folk...
- abstrakt0
maybe that's what's wrong... before it was only the republicans who were mean and pissed off, but now because of bush it's also the democrats. now everything is going to hell

We are shown how to hate through news media every single day...
add to that the continual scare mongering about those who "threaten our way of life"
not to mention "entertainment" wherein material competitive values are preached as the only true path to enlightenment. This drivel conditions us to think that unless we lead a "Sex and the City" lifestyle we have failed our forefathers....resulting in more envy and ultimately hatred.
We give our future generations confusing lessons on morality too:
We condemn mass murder and yet inflict mass murder upon others.
We decry radical religion in the east, yet find it acceptable not to teach Darwinism on the basis of radical religion.
There must always be someone whose fault it is, never can we accept "that's just the way it is"
It is extremely upsetting but true. I for one am not surprised at the violence. We are led by example.

People fear what they do not understand therefore hate it as a means of self preservasion to prevent ones self from being hurt. we know not one anpother therefore would rather chatise than critique when asked. to help would be work. no one wants to work with out getting paid, so people put each other down to prevent one from becoming better than the next. if NT was a sample of the world as a whole when would have long ago started a 7 continent world war.
2 the haters @NT

If we become too polarized, there's only one solution:
I say kill everyone who's not on your side. One side's gotta win right?
